Qualifications

• Strong therapeutic communication, active listening, rapport-building, and professional boundaries in virtual settings.
• Ability to use telehealth platforms, EHRs, and standard office software securely.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, confidentiality, and state telehealth requirements.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with caseloads and documentation.
• Commitment to culturally responsive, non-judgmental, trauma-informed care for diverse populations.
• Telehealth/outpatient mental health experience preferred; substance use co-occurring conditions a plus.

I-View Psychiatric NP & Behavioral Therapy P.C. provides compassionate, evidence-based mental health care for individuals experiencing everyday stress, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and other behavioral health concerns. Clients are supported by a multidisciplinary team of certified therapists and psychiatric professionals who prioritize person-centered, culturally sensitive care. The practice offers secure virtual tele-therapy sessions for patients located in New York State, expanding access to care beyond traditional office settings. In addition, in-person therapy is available in Central New York, allowing clients to choose the format that best fits their needs and preferences.

Role Description

The Telehealth Therapist is a full-remote role responsible for providing psychotherapy via secure telehealth platforms to clients located in approved states. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting intake assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering ongoing therapeutic interventions, and documenting sessions in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards. The therapist will monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, collaborate with psychiatric providers and other care team members, and provide crisis intervention and safety planning when required. Additional duties include maintaining timely documentation, participating in case consultations, supporting continuity of care, and using telehealth technology in a professional and compliant manner. Supervision is provided to all therapists, and around the clock access to supervisors. No minimum or maximum amount of clients, schedule is decided and managed by the therapist. We provide a concierge scheduler that assists purely with the therapist's scheduling needs. We welcome new graduates and individuals with other employment.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted license as a mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, Psychologist, Psychiatric NP with therapy focus) in New York with eligibility to provide telehealth services.
• Demonstrated competency in psychotherapy approaches such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, or other evidence-based modalities.
• Experience conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, formulating diagnoses, and developing individualized treatment plans.
• Strong skills in therapeutic communication, active listening, rapport-building, and maintaining professional boundaries in virtual settings.
• Ability to use telehealth platforms, electronic health records, and standard office software securely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of ethical standards, confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and relevant state telehealth requirements.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, including maintaining caseloads, scheduling, and timely documentation.
• Commitment to culturally responsive, non-judgmental, and trauma-informed care for diverse populations.
• Master’s or doctoral degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
• Previous telehealth or outpatient mental health experience is highly preferred; experience with substance use and co-occurring conditions is a plus.
