Job summary

Bowhead seeks qualified Telecommunications Technicians I to support Base Telecommunications System operations and maintenance at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ. The role involves preventive maintenance, inspections, and telecom system support across multiple installations, including McGuire, Ft.

Dix, and Lakehurst as needed. The position requires 1–3 years of telecom experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and technical training preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years in telecommunications infrastructure or related technical work.
• Skills: copper and fiber cabling, preventive maintenance inspection, reading basic telecom drawings, precise records.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on telecommunications infrastructure including manholes and handholes.
• Inspect telecommunications terminals and related infrastructure for proper operation and maintenance.
• Test spare conductors and cabling on a scheduled basis.
• Maintain and inspect outside plant infrastructure.
