We currently have a Telecommunications Installer role open in our Northeast region. This role will be 100% remote with overnight travel to customer sites in a regional area. Periodic travel may be required outside of the geographic region. This role will report to the Northeast Region Services Manager.

The preferred location for this role is Maine.

The Telecommunications Installer (Level IV) will work on circuit modifications, power transition operations, addition, and removal of circuits on working power distribution sources, power system equipment test and turn-up, overseeing volatile work activities and performing Site Supervisors responsibilities on a job site. Troubleshooting based on experience and judgment is required to plan and accomplish goals, complete tasks, and solve key customer issues in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in DC power equipment installation.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 100% and willingness to work different shifts (swing shifts).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
  • Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries.
  • Frequently pushing or pulling of cables up to 60 lbs.
  • Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft.
  • Frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time.
  • Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level.
  • Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping.
  • Frequently crouching or squatting.
  • Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Prior field engineering experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Electrical degree, certificate, or apprenticeship.
