Job Opportunity: Telecommunications Installer (Level IV)

We currently have a Telecommunications Installer role open in our Mid-Atlantic region. This role is 100% remote with overnight travel to customer sites within a regional area. Periodic travel outside the geographic region may also be required.

The preferred location for this role is New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Work on circuit modifications, power transition operations, and the addition/removal of circuits on power distribution sources.
• Perform testing and turn-up of power system equipment.
• Oversee volatile work activities and assume Site Supervisor responsibilities on job sites.
• Use experience and judgment to troubleshoot and solve key customer issues in a timely manner.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with at least six (6) years of experience in DC power equipment installation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• A valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel approximately 100% and work different shifts, including swing shifts.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Operate motorized lift equipment to handle batteries weighing 80-750 lbs.
• Frequently push or pull cables up to 60 lbs.
• Climb ladders up to 8 ft. and work on ladders for extended periods.
• Stand continuously and frequently reach, bend, twist, or crouch.
• Work in varying environments with moderate noise, heat, and cold.

Desired Characteristics

• Strong customer service orientation.
• Prior field engineering experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Electrical degree, certificate, or apprenticeship.
• Experience with AC electrical systems.
