Job summary

Arizona State University is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to support planning, design, and activation of telecommunications infrastructure for university facilities. You will work with architects, engineers, consultants, and facilities staff to ensure compliance with standards and project goals.

The role focuses on planning, design review, and activation of network infrastructure in construction and renovation projects, ensuring quality and timely deployment across campus facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in the field.
• OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
• Familiarity with ASU Division 27 standards and related practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design for structured cabling systems (Category 6A, fiber optic, and related infra).
• Review construction documents for compliance with ASU standards.
• Support design development and construction phases of capital and tenant projects.
• Participate in project meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Perform site surveys and telecommunications infrastructure evaluations.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and proposed design modifications.
• Conduct construction quality assurance inspections and ensure activation readiness.
