Job summary

Meridian Technologies is seeking an Implementation Coordinator to manage telecommunications projects, field technician schedules, and installation activities in the Raleigh area. You will act as the focal point between field crews, schedulers, engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure work is properly planned and executed.

The ideal candidate has a strong telecom background, understands field operations, and can independently manage coordination tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in telecommunications crew supervision, project implementation, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of telecom technologies, network infrastructure, and transport systems.
• Experience coordinating field technicians, installation crews, and project schedules.
• Understanding of field operations and project delivery workflows.
• Experience with safety reviews and coordinating safety for field teams.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily work assignments for telecommunications field technicians with scheduling teams.
• Coordinate telecom implementation projects ensuring resources, timelines, and requirements are aligned.
• Partner with Engineering to coordinate project readiness, equipment availability, site access, and outages.
• Communicate project schedules and updates to technicians, engineers, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Provide light project management, tracking milestones, risks, and issues.
• Coordinate installation activities including fiber, transport equipment, and structured cabling.
• Provide oversight for vendors and field crews performing installations and related work.
• Support field teams with implementation questions and issue resolution.
• Ensure safety requirements and procedures are followed across activities.
• Coordinate change management activities and maintain project documentation.
• Assist with preparation of engineering packages, equipment lists, and drawings.
• Maintain asset information and network documentation in systems.

Implementation Coordinator – Telecommunications

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Implementation Coordinator to coordinate telecommunications projects, field technician schedules, and installation activities. This individual will serve as a key point of contact between field technicians, schedulers, engineering teams, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure work is properly planned, resourced, and executed. This role focuses on coordinating telecom project delivery, managing schedules, resolving implementation issues, and ensuring field activities are completed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has a strong telecommunications background, understands field operations, and can independently manage project coordination activities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily work assignments for telecommunications field technicians in collaboration with scheduling teams.
• Coordinate telecom implementation projects, ensuring resources, materials, timelines, and project requirements are aligned.
• Partner with Engineering teams to coordinate project readiness, equipment availability, site access, and operational requirements, including substation outages or equipment downtime.
• Communicate project schedules, work plans, updates, and potential delays to technicians, engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Provide project coordination and light project management support, tracking milestones, deliverables, risks, and outstanding issues.
• Coordinate telecommunications installation activities, including fiber, transport equipment, structured cabling, and related infrastructure.
• Provide technical oversight and coordination for vendors and field crews performing telecom installations, fiber splicing, tower work, and related civil work.
• Support field teams with implementation questions, issue resolution, and project execution needs.
• Help ensure field activities follow applicable safety requirements, regulations, technical standards, and established procedures.
• Coordinate telecom change management activities and ensure project documentation, approvals, and change impacts are properly maintained.
• Assist with preparation of engineering job packages, equipment lists, installation instructions, drawings, and other project documentation.
• Ensure asset information, network documentation, and alarming requirements are properly updated and maintained.
• Maintain project tickets, schedules, and work documentation using applicable systems and tools.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in telecommunications crew supervision, project implementation, project planning, or a related field.
• Telecommunications industry experience is required, with knowledge of telecom communication technologies, network infrastructure, and transport systems.
• Experience coordinating field technicians, installation crews, project schedules, or telecom implementation activities.
• Understanding of telecommunications fundamentals, installation processes, and project delivery workflows.
• Experience with safety reviews, safety oversight, or safety coordination for field crews and personnel.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple work assignments and coordinate competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and elevate complex issues appropriately.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with telecommunications transport technologies and equipment, such as:
• Ciena (including 3900 and 6500 platforms)
• Alcatel-Lucent (including DMX family)
• Experience with fiber optic infrastructure, fiber splicing, or telecom network implementation.
• Hands-on field experience with telecom construction or installation, including DC power and grounding, rack/cabinet installation, ladder racks, equipment racking and stacking, power-up, and testing.
• Experience coordinating substation or utility telecommunications work.
• Familiarity with Agile or Kanban workflows and JIRA ticketing systems.
• Experience with ServiceNow tools and processes.
• Experience with corporate documentation systems, engineering documentation, and change management processes.
• Experience providing vendor oversight or technical support for field construction teams.
• Work Environment: Field and project coordination activities; may require onsite support and coordination with construction teams.
• Driving Requirement: The contractor will be required to drive a company-provided vehicle.
