Job Overview:

The Telecommunication Engineer will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining voice and data telecommunication systems, including VOIP, cellular, and multimedia platforms. This role requires hands-on expertise in troubleshooting across all layers of the OSI model, ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable communications infrastructure support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 24x7x365 support for wired/wireless systems (voice & data).
• Troubleshoot network issues (IMPLS, OSPF, BGP, VPN, ACLs).
• Resolve issues with cellular devices, VOIP PBX systems, and multimedia systems.
• Implement information security policies and network security best practices.
• Apply VLAN configuration, trunking (802.1q), routing, and layer 2/3 security techniques.
• Perform MACs (Moves, Adds, Changes) and support soft/hard desk phones.
  
  

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, Telecommunications, or similar.
• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications and enterprise networks.
• Knowledge of Cisco, Ethernet, IPv4/6, OSPF, BGP, and security protocols.
• Experience with AVAYA 8.3 PBX, session border controller, and E911.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for connectivity, VOIP, and cellular services.
  
  

Preferred:

• Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP), Avaya knowledge, experience with AAA, DHCP snooping, Port security.
