Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking Communication Technician Apprentices to learn installation of basic communication equipment. You will use hand tools, read basic electrical blueprints, and study NEC standards while progressing toward becoming a qualified technician.

The position is a 40-hour work week with potential overtime and up to 50% travel. Applicants must be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and be willing to attend evening courses for three years.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (0+ months experience).
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite and school.
• Evening instruction attendance for three years is required.
• 40 hours per week with possible overtime and travel.
• Up to 50% travel may be involved.

Responsibilities

• Pull various types of wiring under instruction.
• Assist in site grounding and low voltage cable pulling.
• Assist in prefab assembly installation and core drilling.
• Assist in installing cable trays and devices.
• Maintain a clean work area and secure tools daily.
• Participate in daily job-site briefings and safety policies.
