Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking Communications Technician Apprentices to learn installing basic communication equipment, read electrical blueprints, and follow NEC guidelines while developing into qualified technicians.

The role is a 40-hour per week position with potential travel up to 50%. Evening instruction courses will be required during a three-year program. A comprehensive benefits package supports growth and development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Reliable transportation to and from jobsite and school.
• Willingness to attend evening school 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pulling various types of wiring.
• Assist in multiple grounds, low voltage cable work, and prefab assembly.
• Assist in core drilling and cable tray installation.
• Install devices and maintain tidy work area.
• Participate in daily jobsite briefings.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE.
• Demonstrate use of hand tools and general equipment.
• Read and understand Activity Hazard Analysis.
