Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Communication Technician Apprentice to learn by performing hands-on installation of basic communication equipment. The role involves following instructions, using hand and power tools, and gaining familiarity with electrical blueprints and NEC guidelines.

Apprentices will attend related instruction courses, arrive on time, and progressively handle tasks while upholding safety and teamwork on site. This is a 40-hour-per-week role with potential travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 0+ months experience.
• Must be 18 years of age and have reliable transportation to jobsite and school.
• Be willing to attend evenings for three years and work a 40-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pulling various types of wiring on site.
• Assist in site grounding and low voltage cabling installation.
• Assist in prefab assembly, core drilling, and cable tray installation.
• Install devices and maintain a clean, safe work area; secure tools daily.
