Totally Joined For Achieving Collaborative Techniques (TJFACT) seeks a Telephone Technician – Information Technology Specialist to support the DOS Diplomatic Technology IT team in Baghdad and Erbil, Iraq. You will maintain enterprise telephone networks, including Avaya CS-1000 systems, ensuring mission-critical resources stay available.

The role requires handling VoIP, digital/analog telecom, hardware provisioning, and network services with occasional field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or 13 years related experience in lieu of education.
• Two years of military phone/voice specialization may be considered in lieu.
• Experience with CS1000E release 7.5 or higher, VoIP phones, UCM, Router/Service, and Element Manager.
• Skilled with call accounting software, call routing, identification, recording, and automated attendants.
• Extensive knowledge of Avaya/Nortel-based telephone systems used at DOS locations in Iraq.
• Active security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain telecom and telephone systems (Analog, Digital and VoIP).
• Oversee hardware procurement, logistics, and maintenance programs.
• Conduct site surveys to determine requirements.
• Troubleshoot voice lines and related equipment.
• Work in confined spaces and at heights as needed.
• Plan deployment and maintenance of scalable VOIP systems.
• Provide training and technical assistance to support staff.
• Direct temporary staff and mentor local personnel.
