North Sky Communications in Gilroy, CA is seeking a Laborer II on our Telecom Underground team to undertake advanced underground construction tasks. You’ll operate and maintain equipment, follow project specs, and contribute to safe, efficient site performance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a readiness to work overtime in all weather conditions. We offer weekly pay, PTO, 401(k) and strong training in a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• HS Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• 2+ years of experience operating construction equipment or utility trucks.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours.
• Ability to work safely in all weather conditions.
• Effective communication and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled construction tasks: loading, delivering, excavating, and operating equipment.
• Install and maintain underground telecom cable with precision.
• Operate and inspect equipment for safety and reliability.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
• Submit detailed daily production reports.
• Assist with site restoration, including grading and landscaping.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
• Collaborate with Level I laborers as needed.
• Work in all weather conditions to meet deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
