Job summary

North Sky Communications seeks a Laborer II for our Telecom Underground team. You will perform skilled construction tasks, load and operate equipment, and install underground telecom cables with precision. You’ll report daily progress and support site restoration while maintaining safety and quality.

This role requires 18+ years, a high school diploma or GED, and 2+ years of equipment experience. Overtime and weekend work may be required, in diverse weather and sites.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2+ years operating construction equipment or similar tasks.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with good problem solving.
• Willingness to overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
• Effective communication and safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver, excavate and operate advanced equipment for underground projects.
• Install and maintain underground telecom cables with precision.
• Operate and inspect construction equipment for safety and reliability.
• Submit detailed daily production reports for progress tracking.
• Assist with site restoration including grading and landscaping.
• Follow safety protocols and company regulations.
• Collaborate with Level I laborers as needed on projects.
• Work in all weather conditions to meet deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
