Job summary

AZ Corporation is seeking a Telecom Technician to participate in installation, maintenance and inspection of telecommunication systems.

The role requires reading blueprints, wiring and terminating various cables, and working at multiple sites with attention to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or relevant work experience is required.
• 2–5 years of field experience or completion of a trade program.
• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and building plans.

Responsibilities

• Regular attendance at the assigned location (office or project site).
• Follow blueprints and building plans to meet client needs.
• Install cable supports, through floor and wall sleeves, and fire stopping materials.
• Install relays, cabinets, and network switches.
• Terminate data, voice, coaxial, control, and fiber optic cables.
• Install cable trays above and below floors.
• Ability to work in small spaces.
• Test cables to TIA/EIA level II with cable analyzer and fiber test equipment.

Position Summary:

Role and Responsibilities:

• Regular attendance at assigned location that may include office or other project sites
• Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients
• Installs cable supports, through floor and wall sleeves, fire stopping materials
• Install relays, cabinets, network switches
• Terminates data, voice, coaxial, control, and fiber optic cables
• Install cable trays above and below floors
• Ability to work in small spaces
• Test cables to TIA/EIA level II standards with cable analyzer and fiber test equipment

• Follow plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers

Educational & Experience Requirements:
