Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Telecom/SUE Technician to support locating, mapping, and drafting for telecom and utility projects. You will perform site visits, observe conditions, and help with permits while working with our Utility Engineering Team.

The role offers hybrid work and training opportunities, with duties spanning office and field tasks, and occasional overnight travel to posting locations in Charlotte, Frisco, Lisle, or St. Louis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of relevant technician experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable under company policy.
• Office and field work environment experience.
• Willingness to travel overnight occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits for utility locating, GIS mapping, and manhole mapping.
• Monitor contractor safety and provide quality control on construction sites.
• Document as-built conditions and observations.
• Provide office design support using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Travel occasionally as project needs require.
