Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Telecom/SUE Technician to join our Utility Engineering Team. You will assist in locating, mapping, construction monitoring, drafting, design, and permitting of telecom and utility projects. Training is available for the right candidate to grow into a key team member.

Responsibilities include field site visits, utility locating, GIS mapping, drafting using AutoCAD, and occasional travel. A strong safety mindset and team spirit are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of relevant technician experience.
• Ability to work both in office and on construction sites.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Complete site visits including utility locating, GIS mapping, documenting existing conditions, and manhole mapping.
• Visit construction sites to monitor contractor safety and ensure conformance with plans.
• Observe and document as-built conditions.
• Provide office support using AutoCAD or other design software.
• Occasionally travel overnight.
