Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer Project Manager to join our Energy & Utility Group’s Telecommunications Team. You will plan, draft, design, permit and administer construction for telecom and utility projects.

You will review roadway plans, lead multiple projects, mentor staff, and coordinate with support groups to deliver high-quality, on-time, and financially successful projects. Travel for site visits may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Experience in utility relocation design, utility coordination, or roadway design.
• Positive work ethic and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage time while working on several projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Review roadway plans to identify conflicts with existing utilities.
• Design civil relocation plans for telecommunications and other utility projects using MicroStation, AutoCAD, or other design software.
• Plan and oversee work production to meet project deadlines and budgets.
• Technical oversight, training and mentoring of less experienced staff.
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate efforts with support groups ensuring a quality, on-time product for our clients, and financially successful projects.
• Review projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications.
• Provide direction and support for permit plans and work prints drafted in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, etc.
• Provide office support for site visits and participate in site visits which may include overnight travel.
