Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Telecom/SUE Technician to join our Utility Engineering Team. Qualified candidates will work with our Utility Engineering Team in the locating, mapping, construction monitoring, drafting, design, and permitting of telecommunications and utility projects.

Job duties will include performing site visits, preparing civil based utility drawings, as well as occasionally assisting with permits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant experience as a technician.
• Valid driver's license and be insurable under company insurance.
• Work environment includes office and field on construction sites.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Safety oriented approach and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Complete site visits including utility locating, GIS mapping, documenting conditions, and manhole mapping.
• Visit construction sites to monitor contractor safety and provide quality control.
• Observe and document as-built conditions.
• Provide office support for telecommunications and utility projects using AutoCAD or other design software.
• Occasionally travel overnight.
