Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Telecom Revit Designer for its Data Center team to design low-voltage, telecommunications, security, and A/V systems in complex data center environments.

You will work with senior designers on cable routing, equipment layouts, and system design, with opportunities to visit sites for field verification and to coordinate across disciplines. Strong collaboration and ownership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CAD/BIM experience; Revit proficiency is a plus.
• Associate degree in Drafting/Design preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD/BIM tools to support cable routing, equipment layouts, and communications system design.
• Assist with telecom, security, and A/V system layouts, including MDF/IDF/Demarc rooms and horizontal cabling design.
• Contribute to project design tasks under the guidance of senior team members.
• Support coordination efforts across disciplines to maintain accuracy and design consistency.
• Participate in client discussions, reinforcing Olsson’s commitment to quality and partnership.
• Complete occasional site visits to support field verification and project progress.

Job Description

As a Telecom Revit Designer on Olsson’s Data Center team, you’ll support the design of low-voltage, telecommunications, security, and audio/visual systems within complex data center environments. You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced setting alongside experienced designers and engineers, helping deliver high-quality technical solutions for mission-critical facilities.

Key responsibilities:

• Use CAD/BIM tools to support cable routing, equipment layouts, and communications system design.
• Assist with telecom, security, and A/V system layouts, including MDF/IDF/Demarc rooms and horizontal cabling design.
• Contribute to project design tasks under the guidance of senior team members.
• Support coordination efforts across disciplines to maintain accuracy and design consistency.

• Associate degree in Drafting/Design (preferred)
• 3+ years of CAD/BIM experience; Revit proficiency is a plus
• Experience with Cellular DAS, PSDAS, ROIP, or ERRCS (nice to have)
• Interest in developing stronger telecom design skills, including complex drawing layout and industry standards
• Interest in pursuingRCDD certification in the future

Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, skills, education, and internal equity.

National Pay Range

$21 - $43 USD
