Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Senior RCDD Designer to lead data center and building systems design using CAD/BIM software. You will drive design authority on projects, oversee smaller projects end-to-end, and collaborate with Olsson teams and clients to deliver innovative, compliant solutions.

The role requires 10+ years of CAD/BIM experience, RCDD licensure, and proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360. Occasional site visits and client meetings are expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of CAD/BIM experience with proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Demonstrated ability to design and layout complex engineering drawings with BIM 360, Navisworks and Revit.
• RCDD Licensure is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Master CAD/BIM software to create detailed engineering designs for data centers and building systems.
• Serve as design authority on projects, driving high-quality outcomes.

Job Description

We’re in search of aSenior RCDD Designer, someone who can blend expertise and creativity to elevate our projects. In this role, you’ll navigate complex designs using CAD/BIM software, spearhead the design for data centers and building systems, and oversee smaller projects to ensure our hallmark of excellence and innovation. You will work directly with some of the world’s largest technology companies and other mission-critical clients. You will serve as a design lead on projects, design calculations, write technical reports, and prepare documents all related to telecom and security design for mission‑critical projects. Experience in the Data Center industry is preferred. You will also coordinate with other Olsson teams, professional staff, technical staff, and clients.

Key responsibilities:

• Master CAD/BIM software to create detailed engineering designs, focusing on efficient data center/building cable routing, equipment layouts, and communication systems.
• Serve as the design authority on projects, driving high‑quality outcomes and pioneering solutions.
• Lead smaller projects with meticulous attention to detail, overseeing each phase from inception to completion.
• Represent Olsson’s dedication to excellence and partnership in client meetings.
• Be ready to visit job sites as required, adapting to diverse conditions to guarantee project success.

• 10+ years of CAD/BIM experience; proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Demonstrated ability to design and layout complex engineering drawings, with a preference for experience in BIM 360, Navisworks, and Revit.

The typical annual salary range for this role is as listed below. Compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience, and qualifications. Employees in this role may be eligible for our performance‑based bonus and merit increases.

National Pay Range

$120,000—$150,000 USD
