Job summary

M.C. Dean, Building Intelligence, is seeking a Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) to learn supervising project teams, preparing strategic plans and budgets, and developing comprehensive project plans for complex telecom infrastructure projects.

The role involves assisting in design and deployment of information transport systems, managing change orders, and coordinating with owners, contractors, and design professionals, with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 5+ years experience with telecom integrators or electrical contractors on projects $500k–$10M.
• Experience with contract drawings, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals.
• Experience installing Information Transport Systems.
• Proficient in MS Office, CPM scheduling, AutoCAD; knowledge of design techniques for drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading a team providing passive and active telecommunications infrastructure.
• Assist in design and deployment of Information Transport Systems; ensure design efficiency and compliance.
• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section.
• Identify and manage change orders; price and track them.
• Plan and monitor cash flow against expenses; maintain as-builts and documentation.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, and designers; communicate with external stakeholders.
