Job summary

Optimum is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to ensure plant performance aligns with platform specifications and to maintain reliability for a superior customer experience. You will train staff to support both specifications and the customer experience, while driving accountability and clear direction across the team.

Responsibilities include monitoring metrics, coaching staff, and shaping roles to build capabilities. A strong safety mindset and flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• Six years related technical experience is required or preferred.
• Must be certified in BBT IV or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of PC software including DOS, Windows, Network and Internet communications.
• Knowledge of Local Number Portability and Optimum transport systems, interfacing with NOC and related systems.
• Knowledge of field installation & repair techniques, coax and fiber design principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to improve installation, service and maintenance tactics.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights and evenings; valid driver's license required.
• DOT driver qualification standards familiarity is expected.

• Maintain plant reliability to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Ensure staff training supports specifications and customer goals.
• Motivate and guide team with clear direction and accountability.
• Monitor priorities with department metrics and monthly scorecards.
• Provide coaching, development plans, and training to improve performance.
• Uphold safety and compliance with company policies and standards.
