Job summary

RJE Telecom, LLC. seeks a Drafter Designer to plot, map, design, and draft telecommunications networks in CAD. You will create accurate network maps, layouts, and construction prints that meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

You’ll work with Engineering and Construction to develop work prints, BOMs, and labor quantities, ensuring designs comply with local, state, and federal rules including RUS when applicable. Expect tight deadlines and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Requires 18+ years old and work authorization in the United States.
• High School Diploma, GED, or 3+ years OSP Design/Engineering experience required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create new Outside Plant (OSP) network designs in various applications/software.
• Develop and issue work prints for OSP networks.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, and permitting agencies.
• Create BOMs, labor quantities, and documentation to support work packages.
• Ensure facility designs comply with local, state and federal regulations (e.g., RUS).
• Provide documentation for cost-effective placement of facilities.
• Meet project deadlines and complete tasks under tight timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
