Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Designer to perform the detailed design of outside plant (OSP) elements and fiber designs for telecom networks. You will work with the engineering team to create constructible GPON designs using AutoCAD and related tools, and support construction staff with safety and quality control in a blended office and field role.

This role designs fiber optic and copper OSP networks for FTTH deployments and commercial projects, coordinates with power utilities,

Qualifications

• 3+ years in OSP telecom or related field using AutoCAD.
• Diploma in College/Trade or Technical field (civil/electrical/telecom; GIS a plus).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Google Earth, Bluebeam and Adobe; strong planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Design fiber optic and copper OSP networks for projects such as FTTH deployments and commercial developments.
• Work with power company; design power route and one-line schematics.
• Manage growth and sustainment of existing networks, including relocations and infrastructure changes
• Perform quality control, field checks, and interpret OSP records
• Create system designs, BOMs, and provide construction quotes
• Conduct site walks for data collection; collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Adapt within a dynamic work environment
