Job summary

Congruex is seeking a Lineman to build and maintain telecommunications systems, including aerial and underground facilities. The role emphasizes safety and field work across remote sites.

You'll read blueprints, perform construction tasks, operate heavy equipment, and respond to outages. Candidates must be able to work outdoors in varied weather and pass drug and MVR checks; CDL and safety certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and transportation.
• Extensive knowledge of approved practices, procedures, tools, and materials used in telecom line construction work.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and MVR.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains major cable systems and structures.
• Reads and interprets work orders, specifications and drawings.
• Performs construction work such as digging, pole work, and laying cable.
• Operates power equipment such as compressors and hydraulic lifts.
• Uses test equipment for manhole gas checks.
• Dismantles and relocates aerial/underground equipment.
• Connects wires to terminals and attaches hardware.
• Responds to emergencies and outages requiring heavy construction.
• Ensures safety and government compliance.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Completes daily production reports and as-built prints.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
