Job summary

Congruex is seeking a Lineman to build and maintain telecommunications systems, including aerial and underground facilities. You will interpret work orders, read engineering drawings, and perform hands-on construction tasks in outdoor surroundings.

Expect to operate diverse power equipment and ensure safety while working in remote locations, often under challenging weather. This role requires flexibility, endurance, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and transportation.
• Extensive knowledge of approved practices, procedures, tools, and materials used in telecom line construction work.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains major cable systems and structures.
• Reads and interprets work orders, specifications, and drawings.
• Performs construction work such as digging holes, climbing poles, laying cable and conduit.
• Operates power equipment including hydraulic diggers and lifts.
• Uses test equipment to check for gas and debris in manholes.
• Dismantles, moves and removes equipment and hardware.
• Connects wires and cables to terminals and hardware.
• Responds to emergencies and outages with heavy construction work.
• Ensures safety for customers and public and compliance with government orders.
• Able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Completes daily production reports and As-Built documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
