Job summary

Congruex is seeking a Lineman to build and maintain telecommunications systems, including aerial and underground facilities. The role involves reading work orders, performing heavy construction tasks, and operating power equipment in outdoor, diverse conditions.

Applicants must have a valid driver's license, be able to pass a drug test and MVR check, and possess knowledge of telecom construction practices. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and on-call shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and transportation required.
• MVR check and pre-employment drug test required.
• Extensive knowledge of telecom line construction practices, procedures, tools, and materials.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains major cable systems and structures.
• Reads and interprets work orders and drawings to determine tasks.
• Performs construction work such as digging, climbing poles, pulling and stringing wire.
• Operates power equipment mounted on trucks.
• Uses test equipment to check for gas and debris in manholes.
• Dismantles, moves, and removes aerial/underground equipment.
• Connects wires and cables to terminals and hardware.
• Responds to emergencies and outages requiring heavy construction.
• Ensures safety and compliance with government orders.
• Completes daily production reports and as-built documentation.
