Job summary

On Target Utility Services is seeking an entry-level Telecom Line Worker to support the construction and maintenance of line projects, both overhead and underground, across the Northeast. You will develop knowledge of safety standards and assist in installing poles, fiber optics, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with ability to obtain CDL; CDL highly preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent; relevant college/technical training helpful.
• Solid knowledge of utility design, construction, and maintenance standards and safety requirements.
• Ability to obtain/maintain licenses/certifications and a DOT Medical Examiner's Card.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; self-motivated with leadership potential.
• Ability to climb poles and operate/drive equipment; able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of construction safety and maintenance standards.
• Under supervision, expand knowledge of line work including energized lines, poles, towers, fiber optics.
• Learn to read sketches and work plans; document work requirements and inventories.
• Collaborate with teams to meet project needs and schedules; handle overtime or emergencies as needed.
• Provide leadership support when required and mentor less experienced coworkers.
