Telamon is hiring an Installer Apprentice in the Kansas City area to learn and perform telecommunications equipment installation in a Central Office environment. You will receive on-the-job and classroom training, with progression to a Level I Installer as you gain hands-on field experience.
Travel within state and neighboring regions is required; initial training starts 11/9 with virtual and onsite components, and travel and expenses are covered.

Location:
Kansas City based, traveling within state and neighboring states/regions as needed
Schedule:
Monday through Thursday: away from home at job sites, typically in a central office environment, home on Friday evenings and weekends
Travel can include overnight stays of 1-2 weeks at a time, including weekends
Pay:
Starting at $18/hr, advancing to Installer I with $2 pay increase after 90 days of employment based on performance
Start Date & Training:
11/9, 1st week virtual training, 2nd week onsite training at Whitestown, IN facility (paid training, all travel and expenses paid)
Job Summary:
The Installer Apprentice is an entry-level role that provides on-the-job training and structured instruction (classroom, online, etc.) to develop foundational skills needed for telecommunications equipment installation in a Central Office environment. Under close supervision, the Installer Apprentice learns and performs installation, maintenance, and servicing of telecommunications equipment.
Upon successful completion of the training phase, apprentices will advance to aLevel I Installer role, gaining hands-on field experience while working alongside experienced mentors to handle increasingly complex tasks.
