Job summary

Telamon Corporation is seeking an Installer Apprentice to receive structured on-the-job and classroom training for telecommunications equipment installation in a Central Office environment. Under close supervision, you will learn installation, maintenance, and servicing tasks, with a path to aLevel I Installer as you gain experience.

Starting pay is $18/hr with a $2 raise after 90 days based on performance; travel up to 50–75% is required, and paid training with travel expenses is provided.

Qualifications

• Completion of “Basic Installation” training course or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Safety, Business Code of Conduct, Quality Assurance, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) training.
• Proficiency with computers, tablets, and MS Office software.

Responsibilities

• Understands and follows all Telamon established safety practices and procedures.
• Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform cable installation, termination, labeling, and lacing, adhering to industry standards.
• Mount racks, frames, and shelves, ensuring all equipment is securely and correctly installed.
• Reads and stays current on installation documentation.
• Maintains quality awareness and implements quality control processes.
• Accurately inventory all job-related material.
• Communicates professionally with customers and team members.
