Davey Tree Expert Company in the United States is seeking a Telecommunications Ground Hand to support aerial line construction crews with ground-level operations. This entry-level role involves assisting lineworkers with pole placements, fiber optic installations, site setups, and handling heavy materials outdoors, across project locations.

You will work 100% outdoors in varied weather, travel frequently, and follow detailed safety instructions.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecommunications line construction or related training.
• Previous outdoor manual labor experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record and comfort operating company vehicles.
• Ability to learn handheld technology and mobile software.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working solo or in a team outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assist lineworkers with placing and removing poles and ground-level tasks.
• Support fixture, conduit, and cable installations at ground level.
• Set up, monitor, and break down work zones; keep site clean and organized.
• Communicate professionally with property owners and members of the public regarding site activities.
