You'll perform telecommunications cabling installs, maintenance on aerial spans, and data collection. A pre-employment background check, valid license, and ability to climb up to 40 feet are required; training is available for those with limited telecom experience.

Qualifications

• Background check, motor vehicle check, drug test, and DOT physical exam must be passed.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Ability to climb telephone poles and work aloft up to 40 feet.
• Experience in telecommunications construction preferred, but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Install telecommunications cabling through commercial and residential units.
• Work on aerial spans to inspect, diagnose, repair or replace equipment.
• Perform data collection and test procedures.
• Carry out fire caulking, air sealing and waterproofing as needed.
