Job summary

TDS Telecom is hiring for an OSP Line Maintenance and Construction role in the La Vergne, TN area. The position involves operating trenchers, backhoes, plows, and other equipment to install and repair aerial and underground cable facilities.

Work includes repairing copper, fiber and coax, updating GIS maps, and coordinating with teams. A CDL is optional with internal training; on-call work and overtime are required as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of construction equipment operation (trencher/plow/backhoe).
• 1+ years in telecommunications outside plant work.
• Must follow attendance guidelines and be reliable.
• Valid driver's license and DOT eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Operate construction equipment to install, test, maintain and repair outside plant facilities.
• Perform line maintenance, pole transfers and cable repairs in varied weather.
• Inspect and restore worksites; update maps, GIS data, and locates.
• On-call readiness and overtime as required.
