Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Skilled Laborer/Groundman to support aerial and underground telecom construction projects. You will assist with FTTH installations, conduit and trenching, pole work, and service drops in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

You will follow directions from foremen, operate or assist with trucks and equipment, and maintain safety and inventory on active sites. CDL/DOT considerations and physical readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain DOT medical card; CDL preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs; read maps/diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Follow Foreman or Supervisor directions to complete field labor tasks safely and efficiently.
• Assist with shoveling, site cleanup, material handling, and equipment operation as trained.
• Monitor excavation work to prevent utility strikes and follow safety procedures.
