Job summary

M.C. Dean is hiring a Telecom Foreman to oversee the installation of communications cabling and equipment on multiple sites in the United States.

The role requires extensive hands-on work with low voltage cabling, adherence to plans, codes and safety standards, and leadership of a crew to deliver projects on time and within budget. You will interpret telecom drawings, ensure proper terminations per BICSI and TIA/EIA standards, and perform QA checks while promoting a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years prior experience in commercial communications industry.
• BICSI Technician certification is desirable and may be required.
• Possesses a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Successful background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and safe use of hand tools and various power tools.
• Wearing of required PPE and adherence to safety policies.
• Leading and supervising small to large crews (5+ people) at one or more locations.
• Interpreting plans/specifications and ensuring proper install and termination per BICSI and TIA/EIA standards.
• Termination, testing, and troubleshooting of low voltage cabling (fiber, Cat5e/6).
• Training and supervising technicians/apprentices to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintaining QA checks and a clean, organized job site.
