Job summary

PLANIT Group seeks a Project Engineer to support project management, serving as the bridge between field operations and the office. You will develop submittal packages, process RFIs and change orders, verify field conditions, and keep drawings and specs up to date.

You will lead field validation of telecom design, track progress with dashboards, and ensure timely closeout documentation. Strong communication and leadership are essential for this role.

• Proven ability to make informed decisions using data and information.
• Extensive knowledge of safety protocols, processes and procedures.
• Deep understanding of industry estimating and engineering best practices.
• Ability to identify change events.
• Knowledge of construction technology platforms, quality and safety standards.
• Ability to understand and develop project schedules.
• Professionalism and effective interaction with all levels of staff, vendors, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical support to Project Management and act as liaison between Field and Office.
• Develop pre-work and post-work submittal packages and process RFIs, change orders, and test reports.
• Verify field conditions against design documents and maintain up-to-date redlines.
• Lead scheduling, daily/weekly reporting, and issue escalation.
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and QA/QC to drive successful project delivery.
• Mentor junior field staff and lead site walks and cross-functional meetings.
• Ensure materials and equipment are available and align scope with contracts.
