Job summary

SQUAN in Lincoln, NE is seeking an experienced construction manager with a telecom background to lead fiber projects. You will ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while meeting safety standards and quality requirements.

This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and hands-on field oversight, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with crews, suppliers, and clients to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as construction manager or project manager in telecom
• Fiber construction experience aerial, splicing, underground
• Experience with as-builts and field data collection
• Ability to lead field teams and travel as needed
• Capable of pre-employment drug test and background check

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and monitoring of telecom infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless coordination
• Manage budgets, cost estimates and resource allocation
• Ensure safety protocols and industry standards are followed
• Conduct QA inspections during and after construction
• Perform site visits to monitor progress and take corrective actions
• Coach and mentor crew members and support recruitment
• Provide regular updates to clients and upper management
• Collaborate with safety and quality managers to resolve issues
• Facilitate weekly meetings with staff, subcontractors and safety personnel
• Other duties as assigned
