Job summary

North Sky Communications is hiring a Telecom Drill Bores Operator to install underground telecommunications cables and infrastructure. You will determine bore paths, locate utilities, operate drilling equipment, verify utilities by potholing, and maintain a bore schedule. Must be 18+, hold a valid U.S.

work authorization, and have a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or be willing to obtain one. The role involves site setup and maintenance, working in all weather, and equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver's license (non-provisional) with acceptable driving record.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with drilling equipment, including capabilities, limitations, and drill setup/design.

Responsibilities

• Determine bore path and locate utilities.
• Safely operate and control all necessary equipment to complete tasks.
• Verify existing utilities by potholing to determine bore path.
• Utilize Mud mixing systems.
• Develop and maintain a bore schedule.
• Site set-up, clean-up, and equipment maintenance responsibilities.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
