Role Purpose: Manage outsourced Telecom Network Design vendors, oversee project schedules, quality assurance, and lead a team of CAD technicians in FTTx designs and permitting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead vendor team meetings to ensure production schedules are met and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Account for obstacles like culverts, waterways, easements, and aerial trespass in designs.
• Organize and communicate project schedules and timelines to internal teams.
• Possess intermediate project management skills and the ability to read colors on screens and paper.

Required Education and Experience:

• 4-year Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Civil preferred).
• HS diploma plus at least 10 years of project management experience in Fiber Optic deployment.
• Minimum 5 years managing FTTx construction resources and 10 years of fiber optic technical experience.
• Effective communication skills, computer literacy, and fluency in English.
• Ability to manage tasks in a dynamic environment and willingness to work outside normal hours.

Desired Experiences:

• Additional engineering degrees, experience across multiple technical organizations, and project team leadership.
• Network with Corning’s global technical community and external suppliers.
• Recognition such as Green/Yellow/Black Belt, Lean, PMI, or professional engineering memberships.

Additional Requirements: Willingness to commit to a minimum of two years in this role. Note: This position does not support immigration sponsorship.

The salary range is $81,750 - $112,406, dependent on various factors. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), pension, life insurance, disability, PTO, and performance bonuses.
