Job summary

FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY in Irving, TX is seeking a Construction Supervisor to join our Operations team. This role will direct, coordinate, and supervise field crews and subcontractors in cable installation and restoration work, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals meet contract specifications.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Telecommunications/Utility Construction, a valid CDL is a plus, strong reading of prints, and proficiency with Microsoft tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience within Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and teams.
• Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

• Direct, coordinate and supervise, dispatch, train, inspect, and monitor employees and subcontractors in the correct placement/repair of cable and restorations ensuring results are according to contract and process specifications
• Ensure employees meet all safety, quality, and production goals according to rules, regulations, and standards set by company
• Maintain daily production sheets and other reporting
• Participate in daily/weekly calls with operations and customers
• Performs other duties as necessary
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally

What you’ll need

• At least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company
• 3+ years of experience within the Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance industry
• Valid driver's license (CDL a plus)
• Basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner
• Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilities
• Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc), Google applications, and/or other construction related software applications
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
• Able to work as needed (over-time, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies or on-call)
