Job summary

TelCom Construction is seeking a Field Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of telecom construction underground projects in Camanche, IA. You will lead Foremen and crews, coordinate materials, equipment, and labor, and ensure project milestones are met.

The role requires prior utility construction crew leadership, strong communication skills, basic computer skills including Excel, and the ability to travel locally. A CDL is a plus, and a valid DOT medical card is often required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• Previous utility construction crew leadership experience required.
• Experience with telecommunication MSA contracts preferred.
• This role requires good computer skills, including database software and Excel.
• Experience with Google applications is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Local work with occasional travel.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; DOT medical card may be required.
• Class A CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations on the project.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned projects.
• Provide communication and leadership to Foremen and crews.
• Organize materials, equipment, and labor for tasks.
• Verify locates, materials and billings as needed.
• Prepare and submit required job reports and as-builts.

What you’ll do

• Supervise the day to day operations
• Job completion of assigned projects
• Provide communication and leadership to job Foremen and crew members
• Organizing materials, equipment, and labor
• Verifying locates, materials and billings
• Providing all required job reporting
• Completing as-builts and redlines
• Actively participating in and taking responsibility for safety, maintenance, production and personnel related initiatives
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need
