Qualifications

• One to three years of experience as a Telecommunications construction Superintendent.
• Experience in aerial and underground fiber installation methods is a plus.
• Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and construction practices.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to supervise craft employees and sub-contractors.
• Problem-solving abilities and capacity to anticipate issues.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs.
• Review and update construction schedules.
• Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects.
• Track financial aspects of the project.
• Participate in subcontractor selection and negotiations.
• Set priorities and allocate resources for the field team.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff.
