Job summary

Smartaira seeks a Construction Manager to oversee telecom construction projects from start to finish, ensuring schedules and budgets are met while coordinating with clients, architects, engineers and contractors.

You will develop scopes of work, select contractors, supervise site work, enforce safety standards, manage change orders, and drive projects to completion on time and within budget. The role demands strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of telecommunication contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Five+ years of telecommunication construction project management experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction science, CM or CE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the building process of telecommunication construction projects from start to finish.
• Develop scopes of work, work with contractors, delegate responsibilities and provide project progress and updates.
• Select and oversee contractors for specific projects, major upgrades, and other telecommunication construction related initiatives.
• Supervises contractors to ensure work meets quality standards and specs.
• Leads planning with clients, architects and engineers to describe jobs and materials needed.
• Schedules and coordinates projects to meet deadlines within budgets.
• Prepares and submits budget estimates and communicates with stakeholders on costs.
• Ensures safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite.
• Oversees change orders with contractors and ensures contractual compliance.
• Drives issue resolution with clients and contractors; manages delays or emergencies.
• Develops relationships with owners, managers, designers and tradespersons.
