Job summary

RLM Underground is a rapidly growing telecommunications contractor seeking a Construction Manager in Michigan to oversee field sites and safety. The role requires underground and/or aerial telecom construction experience and strong leadership to guide crews to meet client needs.

You will manage daily operations, coordinate with field teams and customers, review plans, and ensure work complies with approved procedures. Relocation is not considered.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in telecom construction (underground and/or aerial).
• Proven supervisory background directing crews on large telecom projects.
• Strong risk assessment and risk management with focus on safety and compliance.
• Ability to interpret, implement, and uphold company policies, procedures, and project standards.
• Effective leadership including crew coordination and accountability.
• Excellent communication with field teams, clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversees construction sites to ensure quality and safety.
• Manages customer and homeowner relations and addresses complaints.
• Ensures work aligns with approved documents and procedures.
• Monitors project schedule and progress; ensures timely and safe completion.
• Directs ground crews daily and coordinates with field teams.
• Maintains site and vehicle cleanliness and conducts daily inspections.
