Responsibilities:

1. Perform general labor duties related to telecommunications construction, including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of materials and equipment.
2. Install and repair aerial telecommunications cables.
3. Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more.
4. Operate mechanized equipment like bucket trucks, digger derricks, and excavators.
5. Set up safety perimeters with signage, cones, and barriers.
6. Flag traffic when required.
7. Work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders.

Requirements:

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous construction experience, preferably in telecommunications.
• Knowledge of aerial cable installation procedures.
• Ability to climb poles and work in bucket trucks up to 40 feet high.
• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Work conditions:

• Extended periods of standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying.
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions.
