Key Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties: loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of materials and equipment
• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cables
• Use hand tools and equipment safely: wrenches, drills, ladders, saws, lashers, climbing hooks
• Operate mechanized equipment: bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators
• Set up safety perimeters with signage, cones, barriers
• Flag traffic when required
• Work safely aloft using climbing hooks and ladders

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license
• Previous construction experience, preferably in telecommunications
• Ability to climb poles and work aloft up to 40 feet
• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance
• Physical ability to work in all weather conditions

Work Environment

This role involves extended periods of standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds. Work is performed in various weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
