Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company seeks a Telecommunications Operator to drive and operate a derrick digger truck and pole trailer in urban and rural settings. You will support aerial and underground telecom construction, setting poles and transporting equipment, while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires a valid CDL, ability to travel, and the capacity to work 40–45 hours per week with travel flexibility. Lodging, per diem, and overtime provisions are included where applicable.

Qualifications

• Comfortable traveling within utility clients service territory.
• Full-time availability with 40–45 hours per week.
• Compensation based on experience and travel flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Operate a derrick digger truck and 30’ pole trailer.
• Maintain a valid CDL license.
• Work with maintenance crew or assist as laborer when not operating equipment.
• Train others on proper operation of equipment.
• Adhere to safety standards and DRG policies.
• Complete paperwork, logs and vehicle inspections.
• Ensure areas are staked/located before digging.
