Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Engineer to start your engineering career on telecommunications and utility projects. You will work with experienced engineers to gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience while contributing to project development.

You will perform site visits, review roadway plans, and assist in the design of telecom and utility systems using MicroStation or AutoCAD. A BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering and willingness to travel are required; EIT is a

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 0-3 years of experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Exposure to transportation plans, telecommunications, or utilities is a plus.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification a plus.
• Nice to have AutoCAD and/or MicroStation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support telecommunication and utility project development.
• Complete site visits including surveying, locating, and documenting existing conditions (may include overnight travel).
• Review roadway plans to identify conflicts with existing utilities.
• Design telecommunications and other utility projects using MicroStation, AutoCAD, or other design software.
