Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in drafting or related discipline with 1–3 years of experience.
• Practical experience with AutoCAD software.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in construction environments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Extremely detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting project briefs and meeting with clients, engineers, and technicians to ensure all technical drawings are completed to specifications.
• Producing rough sketches and using CAD software to prepare detailed drawings, plans, and prints.
• Visiting sites to gather information.
• Updating software, drawings, and other documents.
• Ensuring drawings are compliant with engineering standards.
• Be accountable for the maintenance of the CAD drawing library.
• Communicating potential design issues to engineers and technicians.
• Conducting research when required.
