Job summary

HNM Systems is hiring an AutoCAD Supervisor to lead telecom design delivery for large-scale infrastructure projects. You will oversee a team of designers, manage daily activities, and ensure accurate, timely telecom design packages that meet permitting and construction requirements.

The role requires hands-on design expertise with permitting and construction, and strong leadership to coach and develop a design team in a fast-paced environment. Some travel to regional offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Prior hands-on experience creating telecom design drawings with permitting and construction requirements.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing overhead and underground telecommunications design.
• Proven supervisory experience involving project prioritization and workforce planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct technical design activities supporting telecom engineering projects.
• Supervise and prioritize daily work for a team of telecom designers.
• Ensure detailed design drawings are completed accurately and delivered on schedule.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for design teammates.
• Review and guide overhead and underground telecom designs to align with permitting and construction needs.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders to support overall project completion.
• Communicate design progress, risks, and milestones to internal and external partners.
• Promote collaboration and best practices across design and project teams.
• All other duties as assigned.
